Sun kissed many Americans are heading for Loreto Bay, a resort community that’s planning a total of 6,000 residences in the desert of Baja California.
THE 8,000 acres of the Loreto Bay Resort on Baja California snuggle on flat, hard desert between the charismatically craggy Giganta range and the spookily glassy Sea of Cortez. The most basic elements of nature — sun and water, rock and sand, the vertical and the horizontal — collide with that particular grace that only nature can produce.
From a footbridge that gently arcs over a deep green estuary leading from the bay into the development, there’s a good view of the resort taking shape on this once-isolated spot: a 150-room hotel with a beachside cafe and gardens; 240 two-story adobe houses with cupolas; some homes painted bright blue or yellow, others muted pink and beige or green; another 300 houses and condos in varying stages of construction.

We apologize for the not announced changes in case somebody was looking for the Loreto BCS site. The whole Baja Infotheque Network is in progress of change and this will be ongoing until the middle of January. We moved all 60+ Baja websites to a new server / data center and some of the sites also get a new design. Several links and images are not in working conditions at the moment as well the maps are not in display for the next few days. This all will be back. The forum is canceled - there was obliviously no use made of it. Guess there is no people in Loreto that like to have the option to have a platform only for Loreto. Or they are suspicious - it’s free so it must be cheap and cheap is not good…… or in other ways fishy. To bad, we just wanted to provide somethings for the community there. If there is demand we will install one again.
There been a interesting sighting of a group of sharks right at the Malecon in La Paz! Just a few meters of the shoreline a group of sharks (could been Dusky Sharks be shape of tail fin yet hard to determine by viewing the video). Anyway, I figured maybe interesting to view this video here. Anything simular observed in Loreto this close to the shoreline or at the Malecon?? Just curious….
