Loreto BCS blog and website approved by McAfee

SiteAdvisor tested this website and blog and did not find any problems. You can see the test results here. Why do we announce this?? There have been accusations made - (Cambridge Dictionaries definition = “a statement saying that someone has done something morally wrong, illegal or unkind, or the fact of accusing someone”) on another Baja public platform by members of that platform (NOT the operator) - that we are a “s*p*a*m*i*n*g* website. We are not! Most search engines will penalize a page which uses s*p*a*m*m*i*n*g. Also called s*p*a*m*d*e*x*i*n*g. In a different context, s*p*a*m*m*i*n*g is also the practice of sending unsolicited bulk e-mail. Let us explain why it has a certain importance to us to elaborate on that topic with an example.

Let’s contemplate somebody goes onto a public forum and makes a post stating “John Doe is a scum bag and he cheats other people.” No big deal, some people may read it, other’s not - whatever. This post, like millions of others from that forum and all other interactive platforms on the internet will be “seen” by a search engine crawler or “spider” as they are called and indexed in that search engine.

Let’s also contemplate for this example that John Doe is a cabinet maker. You are on another site out there looking for a cabinet maker in your area and you see John Doe promoting his services on the net. Some people use the search engine now also to check “John Doe” and run a search. Guess what - the post stating “ John Doe is a scum bag…” WILL pop up. We assume that would make a potential client doubt the qualities of John and may choose to move on to another cabinet maker. So, we guess this example explains this post.

We are not participating in any fishy stuff on the Loreto BCS website. We may be slow in developing it - hey, after all this is the country of mañana. And most of it: we don’t want too much self-produced content up here, What we would like to provide is a platform for people of that area - in this case Loreto - to participate, make announcements, promote their services or just meet online for some chit-chat by posting. What’s wrong with that?? You can read our terms of service and privacy policy here. To contact us is easy with the mail forms. So enjoy the stay at Loreto BCS online and have a great day!! :-)
